street food IN THE CENTRE OF INVERNESS

The Highland Food & Drink Trail is a street food zone by the banks of the River Ness, bringing together the finest street food from across the Highlands of Scotland. Through each season, we curate and showcase a fantastic selection of street food businesses.

The Trail grew out of a desire to see high quality, local street food in the Centre of Inverness. It was developed by Douglas Hardie and Lesley Strang over lockdown in 2021/2, and was intended to be a mechanism for developing brand new food and drink businesses, and encouraging people back into the town centre.

The Trail has so far received support from: Highland Council, Inverness Common Good Fund, Scotland Food and Drink, Visit Loch Ness Inverness, LNER, MacGregors Industrial Supplies, Inverness Cathedral and D&E Coaches, who have all helped make it a success.

We want people to stroll by the river, take in the beautiful views of the City, enjoy the sound and smell of fabulous, freshly prepared street food and taste the most delicious dishes.

We celebrate the fun side of street food and champion the very best of Scotland’s larder.

Come hungry, leave happily stuffed!
